(1840-1921). Avusturya Okulunun kurucusu olarak bilinen Avusturyalı iktisatçı. Marjinal fayda teorisiyle subjektif değer teorisinin geliştirilmesine katkıda bulunmuştur. Menger iktisadi olguları bireylerin davranışlarına indirgeyerek, değer teorisini bu temelde geliştirmiştir. En önemli eseri olan İktisadın İlkeleri (Grundsatze der Volkswirtschaftslehre) (1871) isimli kitabında fayda, değer ve fiyat arasındaki ilişkileri ortaya koymaya çalışmıştır. 1873de siyasal iktisat profesörü olduğu Viyana Üniversitesindeki görevini 1903e kadar sürdüren Menger, sonraki zamanını iktisatla ilgili araştırmalar yaparak geçirmiştir.
